So, I am thinking that a future Learning Space will be based around a development of “Intercultural Understanding.”

We talk of developing in our students the skills that will take them into the 21st century..but what are these skills specifically? And when we talk about students, are we only talking about our own students, or are we including students that are in places such as the Zaatari refugee camp….do they apply to everyone…they should..but how can we achieve such goals?

Goal 4.7 of the United Nations proposed new sustainable goals program states..

“By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote …a culture of peace and non violence, global citizenship, and appreciation of cultural diversity..’

The future Learning Space of “Intercultural Understanding”, will be developed with the initiative of Bridges of Understanding (from Teachers without Borders) as a basis, and incorporate the E-Learning Space, and The Group Learning Space.

My beginning thoughts are to develop a platform where students can share stories about themselves, and share their creative endeavours. It may include the development of a website, the use of Twitter, Instagram, …….and perhaps others..(it’s a work in progress!)
